According to the information published on stopcov.ge, as part of intensive testing, 18,335 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 10,591 antigen tests and 7,744 PCR tests, InterPressNews reports.
The testing revealed 602 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 261,620. As for the infection rate, as of February 5, the daily positive rate is 3.28%, for the last 14 days - 3.98%, and for 7 days - 3.74%. In the last 24 hours, 569 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of recoveries increased to 252,815. 11 new deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,269 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.
Out of 602 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 246 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 30, Imereti - 101, Kvemo Kartli - 16, Shida Kartli - 21, Guria - 30, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 77, Kakheti - 54, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 10, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 10, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 7.
