Georgia reports 986 new COVID-19 cases

Georgia has reported 986 new cases of coronavirus, 3,193 recoveries and 71 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate in the country has come down to 5.86% as of December 27 over the last 14 days. 

Overall 26,689 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

A total of 19,701 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 12,828 of the 19,701 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 6,863 were PCR tests. 925,354 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 885,056 of 925,354 patients have recovered, while 13,583 have died from the virus. A total of 5,070 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,269 of the 5,070 patients are in critical condition. 294 of the 1,269 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.

20,716 people are undergoing treatment at home. 31,854 individuals are in self-isolation, Agenda.ge reported.

Overall, ​​1,276,364 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,124,908 people have been fully vaccinated.
