Restaurants, bars and cafes will be able to receive guests indoors on weekends starting June 1 throughout Georgia, representative of the Interagency Coordination Council Giorgi Ghibradze said.
Restrictions on social gatherings of more than 10 people remain in force in the country in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
This includes large birthdays, weddings, funeral feasts and other public and ritual events, Agenda.ge reported.
The transfer or concession of space for social and mass entertainment events was banned in Georgia early in April against the backdrop of increased COVID-19 cases.
Private entities who will violate this new rule will be fined 2,000 GEL, while legal entities will be fined 10,000 GEL.
