Georgia thinks about partial abolition of income tax

The government of Georgia plans to abolish income tax in case of reinvestment in the development of production, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated.

"The idea is that profit created in the economy will be taxed only in the case of its distribution to dividends," he explained, adding that "if there will be a reinvestment of profit, the companies will not pay income tax."

"This is an issue that I'm sure will be supported not only by the members of the parliamentary majority," Sputnik Georgia quoted Kvirikashvili as saying.
