Georgia to bring its military bases up to NATO standards

Georgian authorities are beginning to repair military bases in order to bring the infrastructure up to the NATO standards, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the republic informs.

"Infrastructure projects start at the base of Mukhrovani (Kakheti region). The location of the units will be equipped according to the standards of the NATO system," the statement reads.

According to the decision of the Minister of Defense, Irakli Garibashvili, in addition to the new barracks, sports grounds and swimming pools will be built.

The next base, which will be brought up to the NATO standards, is the Paldo training center (Kakheti region), TASS reports.
