Georgia to receive 2 million euros for development of legal systems from EU

The Ministry of Justice of Georgia will receive 2 million euros to assist in the development of systems of administrative and private law from the European Union.

The German Society GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation) will be engaged in a two-year project in the framework of the program 'Legal convergence of the South Caucasus with European standards.'

"After we signed the association agreement with the EU and made an important commitment to reconcile our legal system with European laws, it became clear that we need the help of our European partners, our German partners on this issue, since they have experience," Sputnik Georgia quoted the Deputy Justice Minister of Georgia Alexander Baramidze as saying.
