Georgia to receive $60 million from the World Bank for development of tourism

According to the Tbilisi office of the World Bank (WB), it is to make a direct loan to Georgia for the third regional project, estimated at $60 million. The funds will be transferred by means of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).

The purpose of the project is extension of infrastructure services and institutional capacity in order to support the growth of the contribution of tourism to the local economy of the Samtskhe-Javakheti and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions.
