The Georgian Foreign Ministry urges Georgian citizens to be careful while staying in Turkey because of the tense situation in the country.
The situation in Turkey worsened during the summer of 2015 after terrorist attacks organized by Islamic State on the border with Syria, and the murder of police officers in the country’s southeastern provinces by the PKK militants. A total of 100 police officers became victims in August-September.
