Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports the efforts of the international community aimed at the peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the ministry said, commenting on the United States decision to recognise Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.
The ministry noted that they have looked carefully at the statement made by the US President, which is Georgia's strategic partner, regarding Jerusalem. "We are closely monitoring the developments as this issue is being widely discussed internationally, including at the United Nations", the statement reads.
Georgia's Foreign Ministry said that it is "carefully following the developments and will continue consultations with our partners," Agenda.ge reported..
