An hour ago the Russian section of the Georgian Military Highway, the only overland transport route connecting Russia with Georgia and Armenia was closed, the Vladikavkaz rescuers informed.
‘’The traffic on the Georgian Military Highway was suspended from 19:30 MSK," RIA Novosti quotes a source in the Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia.
The reasons for the closure of the highway, as well as possible resumption of traffic have not been provided.
