Muslims of Georgia celebrated the most important holiday of the year - Eid al-Adha. Believers gathered in the Batumi main mosque before sunrise. The festive prayer was conducted by Mufti of Georgia Adam Shantadze.
There were more guests than the mosque could accommodate, so most of the believers prayed in the open air.
Eid al-Adha is the day on which Muslims make sacrifices. 2/3 of the meat should be given to the needy.
