Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili within the framework of the 72nd United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York.
They discussed cooperation in transport, as well as trade-economic and humanitarian-cultural issues. The parties also discussed the future prospective of launching direct flights between the two counties.
Georgia’s transit potential and, in particular, importance of its Anaklia Deep Sea Port, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway and East-West highway projects have also been praised, Agenda.ge reported.
