Georgian ambassador to return to Kiev

Georgia will return to Kyiv its Ambassador Teimuraz Sharashenidze, who was recalled in May 2020 due to the appointment of ex-President Mikhail Saakashvili as chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Reform Council, Georgian Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said today in an interview with Rustavi 2 TV channel.

"Now there is no time and the situation is not the same. The situation in Ukraine is heating up. We cannot afford the absence of the ambassador. Therefore, in the near future, a decision will be made on his return. We will try to ensure that our relations develop dynamically," Zalkaliani said, TASS reports.
