Georgian authorities draft complaint against BBC

Tbilisi has filed a complaint against the British broadcaster BBC over a fake story about the alleged use of chemical weapons to disperse mass riots in late 2024.

Georgian authorities have prepared a complaint against the BBC (UK) over a story about the authorities' alleged use of the banned substance camite against protesters that took place in late 2024, the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili informs.

According to him, the complaint will initially be filed with the BBC's own internal regulatory body.

"We hope that at this level, the corporation will admit that the story was fabricated and manipulative,”
