Georgian forward Georges Mikautadze returned to his French hometown football club Olympique Lyonnais from Metz on a four-year contract.
The €18.5 million transfer agreed with FC Metz could rise to €4.5 million, and includes a profit share of €1 million on any future transfer of the player.
“Georges Mikautadze recently made history for his country by reaching the last 16 of the UEFA European Championship in his first appearance. Despite being knocked out by eventual winners Spain, Mikautadze finished as the competition's top scorer with 3 goals in 4 matches”, Lyon said.
The Georgian international will join his new team on their return from a pre-season training camp in Austria on July 27.
