Georgian parliament starts its work on September 1st

The autumn session of the Georgian parliament opens on September 1st with a meeting of the Bureau. The first plenary session will be held on September 2. One of the issues that will be discussed by deputies is the veto imposed by President Giorgi Margvelashvili on the law 'On the National Bank.'

According to members of the ruling party, there are no problems with overcoming the veto – the parliamentary majority has enough resources for this. In their turn, the opposition still does not support depriving the National Bank of its supervisory functions.

In addition, MPs will consider the draft law 'On the Prosecutor's Office' and vote for changes to the law 'On Public Service', Georgia Online reports.
