Today Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has convened an extraordinary session of parliament for his order ‘’On use of military forces in Georgia to respond to the emergency situation’’ to be approved.
"In accordance with Georgian legislation, the participation of units of the Armed Forces is carried out on the orders of the President, who is the Commander-in-Chief of Georgia. Since the start of the disaster to this day, according to the plan of the government and the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, to meet the different military units of work, the President has issued three orders,’’ the Chairman of the Parliament, David Usupashvili said.
