Georgia's Parliament Speaker David Usupashvili proposes location of a new US military base in Georgia.
Usupashvili made the proposal during his speech broadcast live on “Rustavi 2” TV channel, APA reports.
He noted that the presence of a new US military base will be vital for Georgia.
“Before its membership of NATO becomes real, Georgia has to try to allow US military bases as well as those of other NATO members to be located within its borders. This is of vital importance to the country’s defence and security,” he said.
