In the Georgian region of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, the police found a machine gun, a supply of ammunition and explosives at a local pensioner’s house, the press service of the Georgian Interior Ministry reports.
The department said that an elderly resident of the Martvili district kept a machine gun, six clips, 93 cartridges, four detonator caps and a double-barreled gun in his house.
Earlier, the police detained a man from a village in the Mestia region. Сartridges and a machine gun were found during a search in his house.
