Georgian scientist: epidemic of nationalism spread throughout Armenia in 1990

Nationalist calls have been widespread in Armenia in the 1990s, the President of the Georgian Demographic Society, Professor Anzor Totadze, said at the international conference dedicated to the humanitarian catastrophe, which occurred as a result of the Khojaly tragedy.

According to him, this was manifested in the falsification of the historical truth and territorial claims to neighboring states.

"Even today books are published in Armenia, saying that the historic Georgian territory of Samtskhe-Javakheti was artificially joined to Georgia in 1921," the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza cited him as saying.

Totadze added that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has not done any good, the result has been only bloodshed.
