Georgian wine brands become more popular in West

In January-September 2022, Georgia increased wine exports by 15% compared to the same period last year, Levan Mekhuzla, the National Wine Agency's chairman, said.

He noted that 2021 was a record year for wine exports for Georgia, because over 100 million bottles were delivered to 62 countries. This year will be no less successful, Mekhuzla is sure. The success, in his opinion, lies in the activities to popularize and increase the recognition of Georgian wine in the Western markets.

Since 2021, Georgian wine has been promoted in strategic export countries: the USA, Germany, Poland, the UK, the Baltic countries, Japan and China.
