Georgia's international currency reserves set a record

Georgia's international currency reserves have reached a record $7.53 billion, the National Bank said in a statement.

The reserves rose by $404.6 million last month and have grown by 50% over the past year.

Gold accounts for 13.5% of the total, or $1.014 billion.

The National Bank is set to release updated figures on September 7.
