The National Bank of Georgia has decided to keep the refinancing rate unchanged at 8.25%, following a meeting of its Monetary Policy Committee on June 17.

"Based on the current macroeconomic situation, development scenarios, and risk assessment, the Monetary Policy Committee considered it appropriate to keep the interest rate unchanged at 8.25%",

the bank said in a statement.

The rate was raised to 8.25% in May 2026. Prior to that, it had remained at 8% for two years.
