The famous French actor, a citizen of Russia, Gerard Depardieu converted to Orthodoxy, the baptism ceremony took place in the Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky in the historic part of Paris, the church informs.
"The baptism ceremony of Gerard Depardieu took place in our church on Friday evening," TASS quotes the representative of the cathedral as saying.
He explained that only close friends of the artist were at the ceremony.
