On June 29, Germany’s Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will embark on a three-day visit to the South Caucasus region – Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, the German Embassy in Baku infromed, APA reports..
The embassy said that the visit will take place as part of the German OSCE Chairmanship.
The main topic of discussions in Yerevan and Baku will be the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, according to the embassy.
In addition, Steinmeier will attend the opening of OSCE PA annual session in Tbilisi July 1. Thus he will contribute to strengthening the role of the OSCE parliamentary system.
The German FM will be accompanied by a high level delegation on culture and economy in Georgia.
He will begin his visit to the South Caucasus from Armenia. Steinmeier’s visit to Azerbaijan is scheduled for June 30.
