German tourist drowned in Lagodekhi, a town in Georgia’s Kakheti region, according to the Emergency Management Agency of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The man fell into the River Ninoskhevi, near the Gurgeniani Waterfall and died on the spot. His body was transferred to Gurjaani Forensic Bureau.
Reportedly, the German tourist visited Lagodekhi together with his wife a few days ago, Georgia Today reported.
The investigation has been launched under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages loss of life by negligence.
