The price of gold futures contracts for October 2026 delivery on the Comex exchange (a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange) has risen above $4,700 per troy ounce for the first time since May 14, 2026, according to trading data.
As of 5.10 a.m. Moscow time (2:10 a.m. GMT), the gold price was up by 0.55% at $4,706.4 per troy ounce.
By 5.30 a.m. Moscow time (2:30 a.m. GMT), the price of gold had extended gains to 0.77% as it traded at $4,713.8 per ounce.
