Georgia is a model country and it should maintain the pace for NATO integration, NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller said, stressing that she will facilitate reaching the consensus within the Alliance.
"NATO holds the door open and the 2008 Bucharest Summit decision is valid and Georgia will become the NATO member," she assured, speaking at the 64th Annual NATO PA Annual session.
In addition Gottemoller thanked Georgia for its contribution to the peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan, noting that Georgia is a key actor for security and stability of the Black Sea region, Georgia Today reported.
