Government of Georgia wants to protect the work of citizens abroad

A new law "On labor migration", according to which organizations involved in hiring Georgian citizens to work abroad must have state registration, will come into force from November 1.

In cases where citizens of Georgia have the assistance of third-party companies while looking for a job, in addition to registration the organization should maintain records and keep track of all employed persons for five years.

Companies engaged in this practice of hiring are now also forbidden from demanding any fee from the person for the services of assisting them in finding employment.

If a citizen of Georgia signs an agreement with a foreign company, all the rules and regulations of employment of the host side should be written in it, Sputnik Georgia reports.
