The Greek authorities are hoping to resume imports of cheap oil from Iran, coordinator of international department of the ruling Greek party SYRIZA Panos Trigazis stated.
According to him, the sanctions against Iran have cost his country dearly, until 2012 Iran had been the main supplier of hydrocarbons to Greece.
"Now we will once again buy cheap Iranian oil, and we will supply cheap fuel to our farmers. So foreign policy affects our everyday problems, such as energy and fuel for heating," RIA Novosti quoted Panos Trigazis as saying.
