Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras addressed the nation on TV, announcing the fact that today the government has resigned. "After the televised address I will file a petition to the President about my resignation and the resignation of the government," he promised.
Tsipras also added that in the upcoming parliamentary elections, which are likely to be held on September 20th, the Greek people will have to decide who will lead Greece in the future.
