Today, the capital of Chechnya, Grozny, celebrates the City Day and its 201st founding anniversary. The trade and craft part of the Grozny fortress was recreated for the holiday in the city center, and the whole city was decorated with congratulations banners, the press service of the head and government of the region reports.
“Stylized buildings are various handicraft workshops, as well as houses of the fortress residents. The artisans from Dagestan and North Ossetia are invited to the event, as well as Terek Cossacks who are engaged in woodcarving, forging iron products, sewing boots, and trading peasant goods. A historical retrospective will allow the guests to see Grozny as it was in 1850, " the press service reports.
