Grushko: U.S. pressure on Turkey over S-400 not surprising

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said that the U.S. uses all possible means to influence its partners in relation to its purchases of Russia's S-400.

"It's well known that the United States uses any possible ways of exerting pressure on its allies in all the issues," Sputnik cited the diplomat as saying.

Therefore, according to Grushko, the U.S. pressure on Turkey is by no means surprising.

The statement comes after U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said on 3 April that Turkey had a choice either to remain a key NATO partner or undermine the alliance by the S-400 purchase.
