The President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has dismissed the Deputy Prime Minister for culture, Maisa Yazmukhammedova. Gulshat Mammedova, who previously worked as the head of the Social Policy Committee of the parliament, was appointed to this post, Turkmen television reports.
Berdymukhamedov announced his decision at an expanded session of the government, which summed up the results of the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for the first quarter of this year. The head of state has criticized the work in the field of culture, pointing out that Yazmukhammedova had received five reprimands but the situation in the sector he supervised has not changed, RIA Novosti reported.
