The Vice-President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for Regime, Human Resources and Information Technology, Halik Mamedov, told Russian journalists about the personnel policy.
"The SOCAR has various grants which are distributed not only in Azerbaijan but also abroad. 297 students have studied abroad at the expense of SOCAR, over 240 of them are already working in the company. And now, 40 students are studying abroad, including in Russia," the vice president said.
"There are five training centers for SOCAR staff in Azerbaijan, which annually produce about 500-600 professional workers. We also have the Baku Higher Oil School, which is educating students entirely in English language. It is a joint project with the Scottish Heriot-Watt University (Heriot-Watt)," Halik Mamedov stressed.
