The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has handed over Israel the remains of two more deceased hostages yesterday evening.
Hamas said it will be unable to retrieve any more bodies from Gaza’s ruins without specialised equipment.
Yesterday, the group’s armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, said that the two bodies will be handed over at 10 pm local time (19:00 GMT).
"As part of the deal to exchange [Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners], we decided today at about 10 p.m. to hand over the bodies of two more Israeli hostages to [medics]," the statement reads.
The names of the captives, whose remains were received by the Red Cross, were not disclosed.
