Azerbaijan and Dagestan have outlined areas of possible cooperation, abc.az reports.
President Ramazan Abdulatipov of Dagestan says that there are promising projects in the agro-industrial sector, it is necessary to create logistics centers, communication between ports in the Caspian Sea.
"We also need the construction of modern hotels, recreation areas," Abdulatipov said.
According to the Dagestani leader, Azerbaijani business people can run business in special economic zone Uytash; and also in the industrial area near Makhachkala.
"We can provide a number of preferences for Azerbaijani entrepreneurs. We believe that there is great potential for cooperation," Abdulatipov said.
Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev of Azerbaijan thinks that all of the above-listed spheres can be of interest for businessmen of Azerbaijan.
"We also call Dagestan to join the process of economic diversification of Azerbaijan," the minister said.
A meeting of Azerbaijani and Dagestani businessmen has taken place in Baku today within the Dagestani head’s visit.
