The head of Derbent, Imam Yaraliev, resigned today.
Imam Yaraliev, who has been the head of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan for 11 years, was elected mayor of Derbent in 2010. In December 2014 he resigned and accepted a seat as a City Council deputy.
