Head of Journalists’ Union of Kazakhstan suspected of tax evasion

The head of the Journalists’ Union of Kazakhstan, the head of the National Press Club Seitkazy Matayev, was arrested today in Kazakhstan on suspicion of crimes of corruption.

According to the press service of the Department of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau in the city of Alma-Ata, Seitkazy Matayev is suspected of embezzlement of budget funds and tax evasion on a large scale under Article 128 of the Criminal Code, Interfax reports.
