Asadjon Khodjaev was dismissed as head of the Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyev's press service, local media reported with reference to the governmental sources.
The reason for the dismissal were reportedly "shortcomings in coverage of the Sharq Taronalari music festival", which is being held in Samarkand.
Khojayev was appointed head of the presidential press service in March this year, RIA Novosti reported.
