The headquarters of the Navy of Ukraine will be based in the House of Trade Unions on Kulikovo Field in Odessa, where on May 2 last year, as the result of the actions of right-wing radicals, 50 people died, Odessa regional governor Mikheil Saakashvili announced today at a ceremony to mark the National Day of the Navy.
"The president has decided that the city of Odessa will be the home of the Ukrainian Navy. To do this, we need to find a headquarters for the Navy. We decided to do it in the House of Trade Unions," the local newspaper Dumskaya quoted him as saying, TASS reports.
