German weapons will no longer be sold to Turkey, so that Ankara could not use German arms in the Peace Spring military operation in northern Syria, the Foreign Minister of Germany, Heiko Maas announced today.
“Due to the Turkish military operation in northeastern Syria, the federal government will not issue permits for new deliveries of defense products that may be used by Turkey in Syria,” the minister told Bild am Sonntag.
