German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas does not believe that U.S. President Donald Trump will change his policy after mid-term elections.
"It would be wrong to expect policy change from U.S. President Donald Trump after mid-term elections," Maas said on Twitter.
At the same time, he noted that the United States remains Germany's most important partner outside of Europe. "We need to reassess and align our relations with the United States to maintain this partnership,” the minister added.
