Hollande and Erdogan discuss crash of Russian Su-24

Today a telephone conversation was held between the presidents of Turkey and France, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Francois Hollande, during which the parties discussed the incident with the Russian Su-24 military aircraft, downed yesterday.

During the conversation, the French leader supported Turkey's right to defend its territory.

In addition, Erdogan and Hollande called for preventing the escalation of tensions in the region and agreed on the need to focus on the fight against the terrorist group Islamic State, Trend reports with reference to Turkey’s Anadolu agency.
