Today, in Bordeaux, where the wine center and a museum "City of Bordeaux wine civilizations" was opened, French President Francois Hollande and Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting, after which it became known that France supports the abolition of the visa regime with the EU for Georgian citizens.
French President promised to speak with relevant departments in order to citizens of Georgia could receive a visa-free regime as soon as possible.
"I explained Hollande how successful completion of the visa liberalization is politically important for the western vector of Georgia. He took our request very positively, and he is sure to speak with the relevant ministries," Sputnik Georgia cites Kvirikashvili as saying.
