Mayor of the Armenian town of Hrazdan Aram Danielyan has announced his resignation, spokesperson for the Hrazdan municipality Alvina Zakaryan said.
"Danielyan has called for an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Elders on July 2 to announce the early termination of his powers," News.am cited Zakaryan as saying.
Danielyan has been in office since 2002.
