Turkish police detained 394 people today in mass simultaneous operations across the country against online gambling sites.
The Istanbul Cybercrime Division Branch launched the raids in 40 provinces, 207 of which were in Istanbul, for violating the law on online gambling and gaming regulations.
Cybercrime units seized TL 42 million in cash. Police said the sites generated somewhere around TL 3 billion. Operations against gmabling rings and illegal betting outfits continue, Daily Sabah reported.
