About a thousand manuscript scrolls dating in the 13-19th centuries, were found in Dagestan in 2016. The according information was announced on the conference of the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography.
In search of precious artifacts, the scientists traveled 8 districts of the republic.
According to the deputy director for scientific work, Amir Navruzov, the studying of the manuscript heritage of Dagestan allows to learn more about the history of the native land and often leads to unexpected discoveries, rgvktv.ru reports.
