Azerbaijan must restore its territorial integrity, and the Armenian occupiers must withdraw from the seized territories, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Azerbaijan Dr. Husnan Bey Fananie said at a press conference .
"We stand by Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement not just 100%, but 1000%. Azerbaijan should return Karabakh by any means," the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza cited the Indonesian diplomat as saying.
Fananie stressed that he is deeply concerned about the occupation of Azerbaijan. "Azerbaijan is an ancient civilization and a very ancient country. It must restore its integrity," the ambassador said.
He recalled that Indonesia was also involved in a long struggle for its independence. "We fought against the Dutch, the Japanese, etc. But we were able to preserve our integrity. This struggle is reflected on our national flag. Red and white colors mean that we have united the will of our people," the diplomat said.
"The same thing should also happen in Azerbaijan. We need to drive out the occupiers from the occupied lands," he pointed out and accompanied his words with a gesture.
