Kurdish militias in Iraq have issued a statement that militants of Islamic State used chemical weapons against them, supposedly poisonous chlorine gas, Reuters reports.
According to the Security Council of Kurdistan, an investigation was carried out into several attacks by Islamic militants on positions of the Kurdish militias, including an attack in the town of Makhmur, located in the southwest of the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, Erbil.
